Message from Mrs Kingston We have noticed increasing levels of playground chat about the game Fortnite— Battle Royale which is a PEGI 12+ gun battle game which requires players to work as a team. The main risks to children are interacting with strangers and also making costly in-app purchases. If your child is talking about Fortnite, please follow this link to find out more about it. https:// www.internetmatters.org/hub/guidance/ fortnite-battle-royal-parents-guide-keepkids-safe-gaming/

Year 4

HOME LEARNING ORGANISED BY WEEKS

Arts Week Project 29th June - 13th July

At Holy Cross, we think it’s important to celebrate all talents. We would usually take part in a local art week however this year we are unable to do this. We have created a three week project, each week has a different theme and skills that is focused on.

We hope this project will be fun for you to complete at home to mimic some of the fun you would usually have in school.

Be creative with your projects and have fun! Share your projects on Class Dojo!

Welcome to Year 4

Come to year 4 and

"Let your light shine" Matthew 5:16

Welcome to the year 4 class page. We will try and update this page as much as possible, to keep you informed with what is going on in school. Our class' motto this year is to "let your light shine". To let our individual talents shine and be used to empower and support each other in order to achieve our school golden rule of "Treating others as you would like to be treated".

If there are any questions, queries or concerns about anything then please do not hesitate to contact me via the school office and I will endeavour to assist you in any way that I can. Heres to a fantastic year of learning and fun!

Core Curriculum leaflet

Below is a leaflet containing the age related expectations for children to achieve by the end of year 4 in reading, writing and maths. Each term we will plan around different objectives and these objectives will be specified in the "English help" and "maths help" section on the year 4 class pages but the leaflet gives you a good opportunity to look at the content of year 4.
