Our school times are:
KS1 - 8.55am - 3.10pm
KS2 - 8.55am - 3.15pm
Doors open at 8.45am
Below is an outline of our school day.
In the morning we come together for registration, followed by either a whole school Assembly or collective quiet reflection in our classes.
All classes then teach and learn Mathematics. Mathematics lessons are fluency, problem solving and reasoning based.
The children - and staff !- then have a short morning break which is followed by an English lesson after break. English lessons are split into Phonics and Reading or Writing at Key Stage 1 and Phonics/SPAG, Reading and Writing at KS2.
After lunch all foundation subjects are taught, we teach:
Religious Education
Science
Geography
History
P.S.H.E (including RSHE)
P.E.
Computing
Art
D.T.
Music
At Holy Cross, we also teach Spanish in KS2 and all children participate in Forest School.
