Curriculum Overview - 2021-2022

At Holy Cross Catholic Primary we live and learn by the Gospel value of treating others as you would like to be treated.

Our intent is to:

  • Provide the best education possible for all children in a warm and caring environment that enables every child to reach their full potential through a broad and balanced curriculum.
  • Enable children to become independent creative critical thinkers who are resilient, tolerant and respectful of others.
  • Ensure that every child feels safe, happy and valued.
  • Encourage investigation and enquiry, where there are no limits to curiosity and there is a thirst for new experiences and knowledge.
  • Ensure that our curriculum reflects the diversity in our school. We want a curriculum that includes, celebrates everyone and encourages them to make their own unique contribution to our school and the world.
  • Raise aspirations for all learners within our school community through a range  inspirational teaching and learning experiences and opportunities.
  • Involve the community by inviting families and visitors to facilitate learning new skills and sharing experiences such as assemblies, curriculum outcomes and other enrichment days, so that children leave Holy Cross with a sense of belonging to a tightly knit community where they have the confidence and skills to make connections and become lifelong learners.
