In English this term our focus will be on writing to inform. We will be writing in the following genres; Diary writing, letter writing, newspaper report writing, non-chronological report writing, setting descriptions, story writing and finally instruction writing. We will be using the following skills;
Coordinating and subordinating conjunctions, Correct use of past and present tense throughout a piece of work, using punctuation (full stops, capital letters, exclamation marks, question marks, commas and apostrophes), Writing different sentence types (statement, question, command, exclamation).
