Message from Mrs Kingston We have noticed increasing levels of playground chat about the game Fortnite— Battle Royale which is a PEGI 12+ gun battle game which requires players to work as a team. The main risks to children are interacting with strangers and also making costly in-app purchases. If your child is talking about Fortnite, please follow this link to find out more about it. https:// fortnite-battle-royal-parents-guide-keepkids-safe-gaming/

Liturgical Year: Ash Wednesday/First Sunday of Lent Cycle: B
Gospel: Matthew 4:1-11

We’re going on a Lent adventure! In the Gospel for Ash Wednesday, Jesus challenges us to pray, to fast and to give. So today, and throughout Lent, our resources will encourage children to make their prayer life richer, to stop doing some things which in turn will free them to go out to others with acts of service.

Like Jesus prepared Himself for 40 days, during Lent we’re also going to prepare ourselves for Easter in a very special way through a Lent adventure! What are you ready to give up for Lent?Given that children (and all of us!) have had to give up a lot this last year because of the pandemic and all the restrictions it has brought, you might instead (or as well) like to discuss the idea of taking up a new habit, e.g. tidying bedroom before bed.
