Liturgical Year: 5th Sunday of Ordinary Time Cycle: B
Gospel: Mark 1: 29 – 39

In this week’s Gospel, Mark tells the story of Jesus curing Simon’s mother-in-law, and how quickly news spread about Jesus the healer – He had the whole town knocking on His door! Mark also tells of Jesus’ commitment to praying at all times. We learn that prayer was important to Jesus, and so it should be important to us too!

2021-02-08 Marvellous Mark and the Power of Prayer (tentenresources.co.uk)

Prayer is a way to find guidance from God. Just like Jesus, we can tell God all our worries and concerns, as well as things that we’re happy about and thankful for. We can pray to help us make decisions, just like Jesus did. When we don’t listen to God it’s like we’re wearing a blindfold and can’t see where to go. But when we talk to Him, it’s like He takes the blindfold off and shows us the way. What are you thankful for?
