Our plants have grown so much.
Some of us planted Sunflower seeds and the rest of us planted Tomato seeds.
Look how big they've grown!
Friday was NUMBER DAY for the NSPCC.
We did an investigation to find how many ways you could make 5/10/20 passengers using different modes of transport. The children worked brilliantly.
In the afternoon Year 6 organised a Number rock trail and we had to find numbered rocks. What a fun afternoon it was!
Maths and Reading workshops
Thanks so much to the few parents that attended these this week and last week, it was great to see the support being given at home, it makes such a difference.
Remember we have the Year 2 KS1 SATs coming up in May - there will be a SATs meeting next term and it would be great to see more parents attend. I will be explaining how you can support your child at home ready for the tests and exactly what they will be expected to do in them.
Welcome back - Term 3 has started well and we are loving our new topics about the History of Flight and Plants (Science).
We have already made a start making paper mache hot air balloons and we have planted some seeds.
Today we had a visit from some student dental nurses who taught us how to look after our teeth and brush properly... we had our teeth painted with disclosing solution to show up the plaque and see how well we brush our teeth. It was great fun!!!!!!
Today we made the puppets we designed in Term 1. We had great fun practising our sewing skills, thanks to our helpers from year 6 for getting us started.
We were so pleased with the results.
CONGRATULATIONS Year 2 for having 100% attendance last week - non-uniform day on Friday as a reward.
Keep it up
We are reading the Bristol Giants by Oliver Rigby as our class book. We are all really enjoying it. There is a website for the Bristol Giants, why don't you take a look?
There is even a second Bristol Giants book, I have downloaded it and put it in our English section.
Hope you enjoy it.
