Message from Mrs Kingston We have noticed increasing levels of playground chat about the game Fortnite— Battle Royale which is a PEGI 12+ gun battle game which requires players to work as a team. The main risks to children are interacting with strangers and also making costly in-app purchases. If your child is talking about Fortnite, please follow this link to find out more about it. https:// fortnite-battle-royal-parents-guide-keepkids-safe-gaming/

Sports at Holy Cross

Sports Captains

The role of Sports captain is an important one. Their duties include coaching small games and activities at lunch times for both KS1 and KS2, being role models to the school showing fair play and good sportsmanship and many more. The picture below shows this years sports captains.

First football game of the season

Holy Cross played their first football game ever last week against Headley Park. The boys proved to be fantastic role models to our school showing excellent sportsmanship. Unfortunately the game ended as a loss for Holy cross but as our Captain Jake said "It's not all about the winning but about having fun and taking part". Below are some snaps from the game. Well done team HC!

Second game of the season.

Holy Cross played against Compass point last week. We were incredible and we played like a team. Unfortunately the game ended in a loss but Harrison scored an incredible Hattrick. Well done Team HC.

Sports Champion visit

On the 16th November 2017 Robert Mitchel visited our school. He worked with each year group and did a circuit training session including spotty dogs, press ups and star jumps. He then did a whole school assembly describing his ambition and determination to become a high jump champion. The whole school very much enjoyed his visit.

KS1 Gymnastics competition

On Thursday 8th March a small group of year 1 and 2 children competed in a floor and vault competition at Hartcliffe gymnastics center. It was fantastic to see the children participate in such an event. All children that we took proved themselves fantastic role models for the school and budding gymnasts. Team A came 5th in the floor competition and was awarded green ribbons. Well done one and all!
